In a career dating back to the 1950s, Paul Simon has established himself among the best and most popular songwriters of the rock era. Growing up in Queens, NY, Simon befriended schoolmate Art Garfunkel, who had an angelic tenor voice, and the two teamed up as one of the best rock and roll duos in music history. Paul Simon returned to touring in 1980 after a prolonged absence, playing both the United States and Europe with a small ensemble of musicians that included Steve Gadd on drums, Tony Levin on bass, Richard Tee on piano and Eric Gale on guitar. This disc presents Simon's October 7, 1980, concert at Philadelphia's famous Tower Theatre.
