contract, with the singer's personal payment of $5,000 imediately
funding the purchase of his dream car, a shiny new Pink Cadillac. Now managed by the shrewd Col. Tom Parker, Elvis's career went into overdrive and the 24 songs collected on this album were all products of a year of frenetic and hugely successful recording in 1956.
